Bedpans

Of all the things to collect, medical apparatuses are often overlooked because of where they’ve been and bedpans certainly fall into this category! But, there is a home for these often-discarded items for those who are looking for truly unique items that give an insight into history. Collector Eric Eakin has over 250 bedpan-related items, a collection which includes print materials and chamberpots.

For 20 years Eakin’s been collecting and says he has no qualms about their previous purpose since enamel and porcelain clean up beautifully.
