It doesn’t matter what you are talking about, there is bound to be something that is on the top of the heap. Regardless of whether it is a sport or a fast food restaurant, the best is always going to rise to the top.

If you’re looking for the best in the fast-food restaurant category, you might be looking for the perfect golden arches.

For that, it seems as if you would have to head for Welshpool, Wales to the McDonald’s restaurant that has been named the “best in the world.”

Admittedly, anybody could rank a McDonald’s but these kudos come from a chef in the UK, Gareth Ward. He runs Ynyshir Restaurant & Rooms in Wales, which is a well-known and upscale restaurant. In fact, it was named the best restaurant in the UK in 2022, according to Big Hospitality.

So, why does he give such high ratings to this particular McDonald’s? According to ITV, he said that he had a crispy chicken and it had truffle mayonnaise on it. He admitted that he didn’t think it actually had truffle mayonnaise, but it tasted like it.

He also says: “Everybody I speak to says this is, by far, the best McDonald’s in the world.”

According to the McDonald’s website, the McCrispy chicken sandwich is served with a coating of black pepper mayonnaise on a sourdough-style sesame bun.

Another reason why this McDonald’s restaurant stands alone is because of its McFlurry. Typically, they would use M&Ms or Oreo bits in the ice cream treat, but the Welshpool McDonald’s uses Cadbury chocolate.

It isn’t only Ward who thinks this restaurant deserves a five-star rating, a reporter by the name of Anna Lewis also went to taste the chicken sandwich herself, according to Wales Online. She said that it had a “crunchy coating” and was piping hot!

This may just be something to add to your bucket list.
