Betty White Is Turning 100 And Here Is How She Is Celebrating With Fans
Betty White is a national treasure. The legendary actress has had iconic roles in such hit TV shows such as Golden Girls and The Mary Tyler Moore Show. In between her different activities, White has also managed to give us all some pretty sage advice through the years on how to live a long and happy life.
Granted, not all of what she says needs to be taken seriously, as White is known for having quite the witty sense of humor. In fact, some of her diet advice includes her saying, “I try to avoid anything green. I think it’s working.”

While White knows how to crack a joke and get a laugh out of people, she also knows how to impart some wonderful wisdom, explaining that one of her secrets to a long life is her choice to be optimistic, saying that she was “born a cockeyed optimist.” White went on the further explain that it comes from her upbringing, admitting that her mother was also a positive person and as a result, White stated, “I always find the positive.”
In fact, White’s optimism is well-known amongst her friends and other Hollywood stars. So many people agree that she is quite the optimist. One of her friends, actor Ted Danson, has told PEOPLE, “It’s not like she’s just a bubbly, joyful person. She wakes up every day and chooses to be that way.”

But he’s not the only one who has witnessed just how much of an optimist she is or how integral to her life a sense of positivity is. Even White’s own agent, Jeff Witjas, has shared with PEOPLE just how much the elderly actress strives to choose positivity every day. He said, “Betty lives a life of happiness. She always thinks of others first, and she stays positive no matter what, even when I beat her at our favorite game of gin rummy!”
With such a positive outlook on life, it is no wonder that she has managed to make it to almost 100 years old. White credits her old age to both luck and good health, stating, “I’m so lucky to be in such good health and feel so good at this age. It’s amazing.”

This coming January 17th, White will be celebrating the big 100 milestone. In order to make it a memorable 100th birthday, White will be inviting fans to watch the film, “Betty White: 100 Years Young — A Birthday Celebration.”
The movie is set to screen at selected theaters on the actress’s birthday. It will be entirely about Betty White’s life and will include clips from some of her famous roles, stories about her life, and video footage from one of her birthdays.
