Cocoa butter seems like a simple enough item to use, doesn’t it? It’s not like people really need a tutorial here, do they? These are honest questions but apparently, we are all in need of these tips and pointers!

Those who apply cocoa butter by scraping it straight out of the tub are actually doing it all wrong, according to a girl on TikTok.

We had no idea and that’s what makes this video such an awesome watch. Instead of using your nails to apply the cocoa butter, there is actually a much easier way to go about this task that we never would have thought of.

Instead of scraping the butter out of the tub with a finer, TikTok user @jenhanshaw claims it’s easier to dump the butter onto the lip and apply it that way.

She shows herself doing it in a video and says, “im shook how did i not know this until yesterday,” claiming that the application method is “so much easier.”

Many people questioned the validity of this application style, and many suggested it’s less hygienic. Some even said they tried it and the butter fell right off the lid.

However, despite the negative feedback about the application method, it’s not something the TikToker made up on her own to troll people. Instead, the idea came from Palmers Cocoa Butter.

The small UK branch of the company released a video as part of a series of new ways to use the cocoa butters. In the video, the speaker shared exactly what the TikToker did! You can flip the tub of butter upside down and use the lid as an applicator.

While it may not be the only “right” way to use the cocoa butter, it’s definitely an official option that the Palmers brand endorses (at least the UK branch).
