One of our biggest fears has come to life but thankfully, we are not the ones who were involved. If you have ever run into a store to grab a couple of items quickly before the place has a chance to close, you can relate to this one.

Sarah was simply running into Aldi’s with her boyfriend’s brother, Luke, for some milk and bread. They never could have expected what ended up happening next.

The pair ended up being locked inside of the grocery store after it closed! The reactions were very comical and we enjoyed seeing them in this predicament. That’s because we know that they are okay now, not because we are mean-spirited in any way. The video of the pair is too funny for words, as her shocked laughter seems to say it all.

“We get to the checkout, there’s nobody at the checkout. Aldi have shut and locked us in. Luke, we’re trapped in Aldi. Who do we ring?” she says in a shock.

In a follow-up video, she described how it went down and it sounds so plausible that we are afraid all over again. The explanation somehow makes it even more hilarious:

“We parked up in the car park, absolutely looked fine, there were workers stood there, it looked like somebody was getting served, we get a basket and go in. Going down the aisles and stuff, obviously thinking it must be shutting, there was barely anyone in. And we get to the last aisle and we can just hear this beeping and it was driving us crazy but we didn’t really acknowledge it. We didn’t question it.”

As it turns out, that beeping was actually the store’s alarm. Perhaps these two should have been questioning it before it was too late.

“We get to the till and I was like: ‘Where is everyone?’ I was like: ‘No. We can’t be. We cannot be locked in.’ My boyfriend’s brother rings 111, I’m on FaceTime with my friend. 111 said to just find a fire exit door. So, I’m crying like Gemma Collins, get that fire exit door, I’m out. We just shut the door behind us and got in the car like nothing happened,” she explained.

At least they were able to make their way outside before the temptation to steal kicked in. The store manager contacted Luke the next day to offer some beer and flowers, so all’s well that ends well. Check out the videos about the incident below:
