Man Asks For Public’s Help After Losing His Dad’s Ashes During A Pub Crawl
A nine-hour pub crawl provides no shortage of opportunities for things to go wrong. You might lose your wallet, and your dignity or have a hookup that you did not plan on. However, this man managed to have an even worse screw-up than anything that you could possibly imagine.
His deceased father’s ashes were along for the ride, right up until they were not.

Stan Blade is a musician from the UK who was taking the remains of his late father, Stephen Jewitt, out for a drink. The plan was a simple one. He wanted to take him to Southend Pier at Essex. This was one of Dad’s favorite places and Stan planned to make a TikTok video of their final tour. At first, he was not planning on tying one on.
Unfortunately, he ran into some old friends and after a little bit of arm twisting, he was convinced to have a drink with them. Of course, this culminated in a bender for the ages.

Five pints of lager and six cans of Stella Artois later, Stan was in the process of making his way home. At some point during his stumble back to the house, he realized that the ashes had been misplaced.
Can you imagine how awful Stan must have felt at this point in time? Emma Hawkins, his stepmother, asked him where the grocery bag that contained the wooden box of ashes had ended up. When he could not provide her with an answer, she was understandably ticked off. “I’ve f–king had those ashes for 12 years,” she told him.

A little bit of profanity there is easy to understand. We would have wanted to knock him over the head, too. From there, Stan took to TikTok and issued a public plea.
Fortunately, a local garbage man found the ashes.

In an update video, Stan shard that the ashes happened to be sitting on top of a garbage can at the time. Stan claims that his father would have gotten some laughs from the situation.
“My dad was a really funny bloke and he would have absolutely loved the idea of me riding a roller coaster with his ashes by my side,” he said. “I just wanted to do something to pay tribute to that, as I haven’t visited my hometown in a while.”

All is well that ends well.
