Can You Find The Numbers Hidden In These 5 Images?
Hectic Nick has one of the most well-known TikTok accounts, at least as far as optical illusions are concerned.
He posts all kinds of brain teasers and optical illusions that will have you totally baffled. These clever illusions have definitely stumped us more than a few times over the past few months. We try our best not to think about it too much, though.

His latest video has drawn a lot of attention, as there are more than a few people who have struggled to figure it out. This eye-catching illusion is sure to have a lot of people questioning what they see. The digits that you are about to see are being placed against a background that does not have any contrast. This creates an interesting conundrum.
You see, only people who have extremely sensitive color perception are able to recognize what they are seeing in this optical illusion. There are five numbers to be found in this video. For those who are unaware, this video actually serves as a prime example of the Ishihara test.

This red/green blindness evaluator has been in use for over 100 years now. These images would be referred to as “pseudoisochromatic plates” in a more formal medical setting.
38 different plates would be used if patients were being subjected to a full Ishihara test examination. Experienced ophthalmologists are usually able to determine whether the patient has color blindness within the first few samples. Each plate has a different function and some of them are only able to be seen by patients who have red/green color blindness.

When there are certain deficiencies and lack of color reading cones in the eyeball, color blindness will take place. Men experience color blindness at a far greater rate than women, as 1 in 12 men suffer from the ailment. On the other hand, color blindness is only found in 1 out of every 200 women. The disparity is easy to explain, though.
A male carrier only needs one parent to be a carrier, while women need both parents to be carriers. At this time, we would like to remind you that TikTok is not a substitute for a doctor’s office, either.

If you believe that you may have color blindness, please be sure to make an appointment as quickly as possible. Ask for an official exam if you need to find out more!
