According to this optical illusion, whatever you see first reveals if you’re satisfied and happy in your relationship or not.

This image, which was first brought to our attention on TikTok by the Bright Side channel, is well worth taking a closer look at. You just might learn something about yourself that you did not expect.

The voice-over in the video explains it all. In this particular instance, some people see an apple core, while others see a happy couple. Those who saw the profiles of two people are supposedly not as happy with their lives as they could be. We will be very honest here, this interpretation of the illusion came as a major surprise to us because we would have thought the exact opposite.

“If it’s an apple to you, you take things for what they are and are pretty happy with what you have in life,” the voice-over says. “You know that you can always rely on your close people and they’ll support you no matter what. You’re always in a good mood and pass it on to others.”

Those who saw profiles put their relationships first. “You might be going through a time of uncertainty with someone special to you,” the voice-over continues. “Remember, the best you can do is discuss it together and not hold it all in your heart. Things will surely get better.”

With that in mind, we hope that things do improve for all those who saw two people instead of an apple core. Of course, people were divided on what they saw here and the comments are reflective of that.

Some might have found this optical illusion to be a familiar one and there is a reason for that. This is actually a newer version of the famous Rubin’s Vase illusion.

It was first developed by Danish psychologist Edgar Rubin way back when (approximately 1915):
