If you are anything like us, you find yourself wondering if you can teach yourself to speak a foreign language. We always find ourselves envious of the folks who can speak more than one, that is for sure. That’s what makes this video such an awesome one.

This veteran news correspondent is asked to make the best of some very difficult circumstances and they sail through with flying colors.

The video that you are about to see showcases a veteran news correspondent who is reporting on the current crisis in Ukraine. Associated Press television reporter Philip Crowther was given the chance to go to work from Kyiv, Ukraine last week and things have only progressed from there.

As one of Associated Press’ international reporters, he is responsible for providing news updates all over the world.

On the day that this clip was filmed, tensions were quite high. The people of Kyiv were awaiting a potential invasion from neighboring Russia. This is the type of situation that can cause news reporters to lose their cool.

That’s not what happened with Crowther, though. He managed to maintain composure throughout the dispatch, giving detailed updates throughout the day.

It would be tough enough to provide these updates in one language. This man was able to seamlessly slip between six different languages and he was even gracious enough to provide a supercut of the updates on his Twitter account.

We were beyond impressed when we had the chance to check out the video for ourselves for the first time.

In the interest of full disclosure, we cannot stop watching this clip. “Six-language coverage from #Kyiv with @AP_GMS. In this order: English, Luxembourgish, Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German,” Crowther said in a recent tweet.

The clip went viral almost immediately, as people were spellbound by this man’s mastery of foreign languages. While there were some who made fun of his accents, they are in the minority here.

Duolingo even commented on the post, so that’s how you know that it is good. We are always going to take their word for it over the peanut gallery on Twitter.

Meanwhile, others asked if the man is married (we are unsure about that) and he went on to admit that he can even speak a seventh language if the situation called for it.
