Sephora Employee Shares ‘Gross’ Things She’ll Never Do In The Store
We have seen plenty of beauty hacks on TikTok before but this one takes the cake. If you are someone who shops at Sephora on a regular basis, you are definitely going to want to read on and learn more.
This former employee is here to warn customers about all of the things that you should not do when you are shopping there.
Some of them will surprise you, and some of them may not. We are going to level with you here, we are absolutely disgusted by some of them. Fortunately, beauty guru Sarah Palmyra is here to help us make sense of it all. These insights are highly valuable and we hope that all of the regular Sephora visitors that we know are able to implement this advice going forward.
“I will never use any of the makeup remover or the makeup-removing cotton rounds on my actual face when I’m in the store,” she said in a video. As someone who used to work there, she certainly knows what she is talking about. Once she elaborates on this, you are going to see exactly what she is talking about and avoid making these kinds of mistakes in the future.
“My job was to refill the makeup remover and add more cotton rounds when we would close and never once did we actually clean the container the cotton rounds went in or sanitize the container the makeup remover went in,” she continued. She went on to say that the store does not have time to disinfect these stations and that customers should stop to think of the bacteria that has had a chance to collect.
“I will no longer buy a foundation as soon as I’ve been color-matched in store without going outside first and checking that the match actually works in natural light,” Sarah went on to say. She also warns the audience against the idea of purchasing the smaller items that are located right by the counter.
They may look cute but they are not going to provide you with the most bang for your buck, that is for sure. That’s why Sarah advises us to avoid them at all costs.
Meanwhile, there are regulars who disagree. “The mini mascaras usually last almost as long as the normal sized ones…you waste so much dried mascara in the big ones!” said one of them.
