Flight Attendant Shares 5 Things You Should “Never Do” On An Airplane
TikTok user Danielle spends her days working as part of the cabin crew for Emirates Airlines. That’s why she is well-equipped to let us know all about the things that we should not be doing when we are on a flight.
The first tip that she had to offer in her video is a pretty obvious one that we would not have needed to be told about if we are being as frank as possible here.
“It may look like water on the floor but trust me guys, it’s really not. I am sure you can guess what it is,” said Danielle when she spoke of the airplane’s bathroom. We cannot believe that people would need to be told that they should be wearing shoes in there but here we are. This piece of advice might seem obvious. The next one will cause some people to be a bit more bummed out.
“No. 2, this might be a little controversial, but I would never fall asleep with my face against the window,” Danielle continues. “So many people — hundreds, if not thousands — have had access to that window and have been touching it,” she explained. This makes sense but we are still not happy about it.
As it turns out, you should just be treating the plane like it is a germ factory, which it essentially is. Danielle circled back to her first point, which is that those who are using the bathroom should never be touching anything with their bare hands. The door handles and faucets are simply not that safe to touch, sorry to say.
Even the aircraft tray table is not safe and Danielle is here to explain why. “No. 4, this kind of follows on from my last point, but I would never use the aircraft tray table without sanitizing it first,” claims Danielle. “[This is] especially true if I am going to eat a meal on there I would want to make sure it is clean.”
If you are as disturbed as we are, please be sure to pass this one along. There is no reason why we should ever be doing some of the things that she mentions but there are tips that are sure to resonate with just about any traveler.
We will now be bringing all sorts of sanitizing equipment with us on all of our flights and we are sure that you will want to as well.
