4-ingredient Baked Apples
From the kitchen of King Kong star Fay Wray comes this extremely simple desert with outstanding flavor. Similar desserts were described by folks who lived through the 1930s when economical cooking was the norm most places. Well, there’s nothing more economical than a dish like this. Baked apples in various forms have been extremely popular dishes for centuries. They’re easy, familiar, and so tasty! These apples have honey instead of sugar on them for a more rounded, rich flavor. You’ll need to peel and core these apples to prepare them. You don’t really need to worry about if they turn brown from being peeled as they will turn dark in the oven anyways.

The whipped cream is an add on, as is the sprinkle of cinnamon. You could also add a pinch of cardamom or other spices if you wanted.

Then top with some chopped pecans and you’re ready to dig into these tender, sweet, wonderful apples.
